Sansho Konbu
Perfect chewy kelp from Hokkaido matches with sansho japanese pepper! The strong flavor of soy sauce and the spiciness of sansho goes well with the rice.
Sansho No Mi
As you open the package, a rich sansho scent permeates the room. Cooked with soy sauce and perfect for onigiri ingredients and with boiled fish. It gives a refreshing taste.
At Kurama where people could not leave houses because of snow every year, sansho (Japanese pepper) seasoned dishes have been long eaten as a preserved food at home. Fukishigure, Kinomedaki, and Sanshokobu are the sansho dishes and the traditional taste from a long time ago.

Sansho Miso
Japanese pepper with miso
Sweet miso with sansho spiciness. The sansho pops and spreads the exquisite spicy flavor to the dish. It can be eaten with chicken and rice balls. Enjoy combining with other ingredients to find your favorite sansho miso combination!
*Miso: Fermented soybean paste. It is made of soybeans, salt, and koji, koji is a malted substance of wheat, barley, rice, or soybean which helps the soybeans to ferment. Japanese traditional seasoning well-known for use in miso soup.
Locals from Ayabe made them carefully by hand and vend them at Ayabe onsen hot spring and local product exhibitions. Their signature product is dishes with miso and kouzo but they also sell other products such as chiffon cakes and cookies. Kouzo mochi pounding experience there is also popular.

Chirimen Sansho
Small Dried Sardine seasoned with Japanese Pepper
Using small sardines from Kyushu, the Shikoku area, and Japanese pepper, 【Koduchi】removed the bitterness and harsh taste to bring out a nice scent and color. Without using water, they cooked with additive‐free sake, seasoned with vinegar called Chidorisu and soy sauce (Shiga). In each case, they choose ingredients and seasoning that are compatible with the small sardines to enhances the taste.
Chirimen Sansho is made with the best ingredients and Kyoto cuisine craftmanship. Simple light and refreshing taste with a soft texture. The gentle taste matches with rice.
